Naomi Campbell And Others To Initiate Fashion For Flood Relief

Campbell has called on celebrity friends including supermodel Yasmin Le Bon, Elle Macpherson and Jodie Kidd to help her initiate the charity event, Fashion for Relief, which will transpire at the finale of London Fashion Week.

Supermodel Naomi Campbell has revealed her plans to launch a charitable fashion show in London to raise funds for the victims of this year's UK floods.

Campbell has called on celebrity friends including supermodel Yasmin Le Bon, Elle Macpherson and Jodie Kidd to help her initiate the charity event, Fashion for Relief, which will transpire at the finale of London Fashion Week.

The celebrities were present at the London press conference in Burberry T-shirts that have been sold to raise cash for the noble cause.

Campbell expressed the need for the initiative and feels proud that she has been able to organise such an event.

"We wanted to do something to help all those affected by the terrible UK floods, our way,” Daily mail quoted Campbell, as saying.

"There is no denying the damage was done with the estimated cost for the recovery in the billions.

"As a British model, in my home town in London, I am honoured to be able to put on and be involved in this kind of show," she added.

The money raised by the show will go to the Rotary Flood Disaster Appeal to support communities in the affected districts.

Campbell also revealed in an interview after the launch that Kate Moss would be designing some of the clothes for the show.

"I kidnapped Kate. She's going to be a designer. I don't know what it will be that she designs. She doesn't really like to do the shows... it will be Kate Moss the designer," she said.
