The Hannah Montana star, 15, has posted new footage of herself and her best pal joking around as they mock an earlier video made by friends Gomez and Lovato, in which they talk about their love of make-up and cartoon characters Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
In her own take on the chat, Cyrus boasts about a new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles T-shirt she's bought, saying: "I got a really cool shirt today. Like, really emo, like emo-mazing."
Cyrus' video has now been interspersed with Gomez and Lovato's footage and posted on video-sharing website YouTube.com to show a frame-by-frame comparison of the two.
The attack has sent online gossips into a spin, with many speculating that Cyrus' actions were prompted by reports her ex-boyfriend Nick Jonas is dating Gomez.
However, both Jonas and Gomez, who appears in The Jonas Brothers' new Burnin' Up video, have denied the claims.
In an earlier report, Miley Cyrus says she's "lookin'" for a boyfriend.
The Hannah Montana star -- who has been linked to Nick Jonas and co-star Lucas Till -- insists she's single, but is on the look out for the perfect man.
When asked by Today Show interviewer Bailey Monte Thursday if she had a boyfriend, Miley replied, "No," but then added with a laugh, "Lookin'.
"It is hard when you are hanging out with guys, even guys that are just your friends.
"[He's] automatically your boyfriend, because that's what the media thinks," she explained.
"I think it's good if you can be able to have guy and girl friends that, you know, understand you... and it stinks when we go out; people automatically think we're together."
Nick, meanwhile, is being linked to fellow-Disney star Selena Gomez.
And she might be one of the biggest stars in the world right now, but does Miley, 15, ever get grounded by her parents?
"Yes, yes, Miley Cyrus does. And I kinda like it sometimes," Miley replied. "I'm like, 'Oh, it's kinda nice just to be home,' you know. And it'll kinda stop me for a little while from wanting to work and wanting to do this and that.
"The worst is cell phones getting taken away," she added. "It's the worst!"
However, things could change for Miley when, on November 23, she turns turns 16 and qualifies for a driver's license.
"I'll take anything that'll drive," Cyrus said of her car preference. "Seriously, right now I just want anything that'll get me around and hopefully it's something somewhat OK."
